About this game
Tangram asks you to fit seven geometric pieces together until they form a specific figure — an ancient Chinese puzzle that trains spatial reasoning: rotating, flipping and positioning shapes mentally before you even move a piece.
Start with the simplest figures; the same set of seven pieces forms hundreds of different figures, so the challenge can grow a lot while using the same pieces.
FAQ
What does Tangram exercise, exactly?
Spatial reasoning — the ability to visualize how shapes fit and transform in space, different from the numerical reasoning of Sudoku or the verbal reasoning of crosswords.
Do I need to rotate the pieces mentally before touching them?
It helps a lot — trying to visualize the fit before moving the piece is exactly the mental exercise behind Tangram, more than just trial and error.
