About this game
Close the Square is the digital version of a traditional board game played on paper for generations: you and the computer take turns connecting two neighboring dots, and whoever closes the fourth side of a little box claims it and earns another turn.
There's no timer per move — the whole challenge is planning calmly, looking at the board for as long as you need before deciding where to draw the next line.

Do I need to be fast to play Close the Square?
No. There's no timer per move and no penalty for taking your time to decide — the computer only plays its turn after a pause, and you can look at the board for as long as you like.
What happens if I close a box?
The box gets marked with the letter "Y" (for you) and you immediately earn another turn, without waiting for the computer — just like the traditional paper game.
Does the computer always play the same way?
No — the difficulty you choose changes how much the computer plans ahead: on Easy it makes plenty of mistakes, on Challenging it avoids giving away free boxes and thinks further ahead.
