About this game
World Cultures Quiz brings together geography, history, culture, and food trivia from 4 countries in one game: the United States, England, Spain, and Mexico. Before you start, you choose which country you want to explore.
Each country's questions appear in the subject's own "native" language — English for the United States and England, Spanish for Spain and Mexico — while the game's buttons and messages stay in your chosen interface language, like the rest of the site. It's a light way to exercise long-term memory and, as a bonus, practice reading in another language, with no time pressure.
Your best score is saved separately for each country, so your record in the United States quiz never mixes with your record in the Spain quiz, for example.
FAQ
Do I need to know English or Spanish to play?
Basic knowledge helps, but it isn't required: the answer choices are short and direct, and the correct answer is always revealed after each question, so you can learn as you play.
Can I switch countries mid-game?
The country is chosen on the start screen, before you begin. To play a different country, just go back to the start screen and choose again — without losing your record for the previous country.
